⊙ What kind of place is Seochon town?
In Joseon Dynasty, Bukchon was located between Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace, it is the residence of a ruling group of noblemen, but Seochon is the residence of Joongin who has professional job such as an interpreter, doctor and etc. Joongin wrote poems and painted pictures at this village during the Joseon Dynasty. It is here that ‘Inwangjesaekdo’ was painted by Gyeomjae, Jeongseon. Joongin like special intelligent people at that time and members of the poetry circle worked in the whole Mt Inwang and popular noblemen built vacation home competitively. Here is also the place where King Sejong was born and King Yeongjo grew up. In modern times, writers and artists such as Lee Sang, a novelist, Park No-Soo, the great master of modern oriental arts, Lee Sang-Beom, an artist, Yoon Dong-Joo, a poet, and Lee Joong-Seob, an artist, were enrolled and burned their art spirits.
