Chodang is the father of heogyun and heonanseolheon and Gangneung is where the author of honggildongjeon,heogyun and his sister nanseolheon's house was. she wrote an anthology  "Nanselheonjib" praised by chinese writers.  their father who was the governor of Samcheok built a house there and settled.  the water of this house was of fine spring water, so they made "Tofu" with the water and salted it with sea water.
ohjukheon is a historical house where two famous mother and son, who both appear on 5,000 and 50,000 koran bank note, were born . Yulgok, the son, first appeared on  5,000 won notes and later his mother, Shin Saimdang, was selected to be put on  50,000 won notes alongside with her son.
